NEW MUSIC ALERT: Jon McLaughlin “Summer Is Over” (Ft. Sara Bareilles)

Oh my goodness, I just about died! I absolutely fell in love with this song when I bought his soon-to-be old album (Forever If Ever) back in September. However, THIS is not the version available on the CD… That said, I must admit adding Sara Bareilles to the track made me no longer “love” this song, but actually LO-LO-LOVE this song. To be extremely honest, the first time I ever came across a Jon McLaughlin record (back in 2007) I decided to purchase it because of the drop dead gorgeous fellow posing on the cover. Once I actually took the time to stop drooling over his images found in the booklet and actually played his CD, I honestly became a fan. Thus, when 2008 came and his second album was released, I came back for seconds because of his gorgeous voice and true talent… Yes, I also came back for MORE of that drop dead gorgeousness, who am I trying to kind. That aside, Jon in one talented gentleman who should get recognition not just for that gorgeous face, but for his writing and performing skills, and yes, that great personality of his, and who should be on everybody’s radar.

I would also have to agree that adding Sara B to this song was what put it over the top. It was already catchy, but putting her amazing, flawless voice in the song made it a song to remember. Hopefully this song is a sign of what to look forward to on the new album.
