I am not going to lie, I am kind of embarrassed that I have not talked about this record at all. The xx is one of my favorite bands ever, not mention that Jamie xx is by far one of my favorite original beat makers these days. He has also turned out some serious remixes from every other musician that I love, I mean EVERYONE. This project is no exception to that rule.

Gil Scott-Heron released “I’m New Here,” his first album in thirteen years in February of this year. In August 2009 Jamie xx released his debut album with The xx, “xx.” This album, “We’re New Here” sees Jamie xx remixing thirteen tracks from the original, “I’m New Here” album sessions.
