This has to be the next best thing to seeing LCD Soundsystem play live, well maybe not, but still it’s kick ass. Kermit the Frog on vox, Animal on turntables, Cookie Monster on the keys & Miss Piggy as the token band ornament. An “Unofficial” Impromptu live performance on the streets of Brixton stopped walkers passing by on the streets to witness a once in a lifetime event.

Many of you might remember Kermit The Frog “singing” LCD Soundsystem’s, “New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down” (click below to see it, if you haven’t), it IS amazing!

UNFORTUNATELY, On February 8, 2011, LCD Soundsystem announced on their website that they would be playing their last show ever on April 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. According to their web site, “We are retiring from the game. Gettin’ out. Movin’ on.” When tickets went on pre-sale and official sale, there were widespread problems with availability and online ordering, and the show became sold-out suddenly.
